In March of 1996, Kurt and Pamela Braun purchased their automotive repair business, then Gordie’s Sales and Service, from Gordie and Eldora Schuster. They changed the name to Braun’s Automotive Service, Inc. Keeping both employees, they gave up the car sales and instead focused on car and light truck repairs as well as towing. The current building was built in 1966, and has been remodeled under ownership of the Braun’s several times. In 2006, the roof of the east side stall was raised to allow for work on higher vehicles. In 2001, to allow for more space in the shop, the office was moved to what had been the Renault and Lee car showroom. In 2014, a new stall was added to the west side of the building. Braun’s Automotive currently employs three automotive technicians and currently services over 2,500 cars every year. Kurt graduated from Mid-State Technical College in 1992 for automotive repair. He manages the shop and also works on vehicles. Pam works in the office and does all of the bookkeeping. With both of them working actively at the business, in all likelihood, you will be working directly with one of the owners when you bring your vehicle in for service or repair. Braun’s Automotive is ASE-certified and a NAPA AutoCare Center.
